It was never my intention to be listed on tripadvisor and I hoped it wouldn't happen, but here we are. (oh joy!)
So to introduce my business properly, Little Frimley Kitchen is a small bakeshop focusing on great Maina blend coffee and hand made baked products, healthy sandwiches and soup. There is some seating provided as a courtesy to people waiting for coffee or food to be heated and the odd person that wants to eat and go. We are NOT a cafe. Maina can be all that, but that's not who we are.
This is a space for us to bake and produce yummy food. All our puff pastry is made by hand with loads of butter. All our pie fillings are actual casseroled export quality meat from Gourmeats in Havelock North. As such, the pies should cost more than they do. If they were any cheaper, then I would be producing them at a loss. In fact when pies are wasted at the end of the day, then it probably isn't worth my while, but we love what we do. You can buy a similar product but made with commercial margarine based puff paste from a cafe or restaurant and pay much more that $7.
Being a small business, and not a cafe,our barista serves as well as making coffee. There can be a small wait during the 2 busy times of the day.
We all help on the till and work together as a team.
I understand Frimley hasn't had a nice place to buy coffee before so it's a privilege to serve the local community with a good product and beautiful Maina blend coffee, roasted by Hawthorn.
