Had a great meal 2 days ago . Slow service but the food was good . We went today for dinner for 2 to be met by a waitress to see if we could book a table for dinner . She basically just shrugged her shoulders and said we are only taking bookings for minimum of 8 . We could clearly see that a table had been reserved for 2 and when questioned she said you’ll have to speak to the manager . This is our 3rd visit to New Zealand and comment to people how friendly and welcoming New Zealander’s are . This is our first experience of dismissive service by someone who couldn’t be bothered . However , we went and got a takeaway from the “Crusty Crab “ who were delightful and cooked our food fresh. It was yummy . Butterfish #rude#dontgetaboveyourselves

We went here twice for lunch. The fish and chips were good and they served a generous portion. Apart from that we had sandwiches which were all excellent. They have good outdoor seating and the service was good although when I asked whether I could use their wifi they said they did not have it which I don’t believe since the cafe is part of a large restaurant.

A wonderful new cafe on the Russell waterfront. It's predecessor Sally's had become very tired and the new owners have created a funky, young vibe serving delicious food. We went for brunch and everything was delicious and very generous. Smoked salmon pikelets, the HUGE breakfast, excellent coffee. Highly recommended.

Great food, great beers, and great views. Everything we had was delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient, bringing us everything we needed and making suggestions when asked. We had coffees after supper and they were also awesome! We would have been back if we were in town longer!

New management, new name, new attitude & great results!

Used to be Sally’s & a waste of a great location. Now it’s a great alternative to the reliable but pricey Duke.

Awesome food & spectacular service. Sophie is great! She shakes a mean margarita!
