Planned to go to this restaurant as we were based at Nelson during or 3 week tour of the South Island.
Called ahead to check if booking was necessary but told just turn up.
Turned up and once greeted we were asked to wait a while to see if a table was available????
Once seated we had a look through the menu which was okay but a little unclear.
Waitress advised four Tapas would normally eat good for two people.
Lamb, Chorizo, chicken and spicy Pattaya’s bravado .
When the food arrived was disappointed to see that every dish came on a bed of patatas bravas if this had been made clear by the waitress we would have not ordered a full dish of potatoes.
As mentioned meat dishes were ok but the chorizo dish was a train wreck. 2 to 3 inches long and as tough as old boots, my wife who is Spanish found them inedible.
The food we left was a concern to the waitress but we did not want it as a takeout and did not want it replaced.
Not the best meal while in Nelson and the service was average.
