We were two couples out for a quick evening meal. You feel really ripped off when, as a group, you spend over $120, one drink each, two burgers and two starters, and receive food of such poor quality. Much lower grade than you would make at home. This is a restaurant, food professionals supposedly. They did not come up to the standard of a bad home cook.
A $20 burger should be something special. For $20 it should sing. Hell its only a burger. Not at all hard to do well. You should be receiving something to enjoy and remember. We got x2 dry, less than fresh buns. The patty, should be the high lite was dry, tasteless and hard as a rock. No seasoning. Scant tomato ring and a wee bit of mustard. The x3 cooked chips were flaccid, a bit soggy and so dame salty as to be inedible. If you can’t season chips correctly you should not be in business. Same with the onion rings. So much salt they were completely spoiled. The squid was tasteless. Like the cook was going through the motions of opening a packet and slapping it on a plate. No sparkle! Nothing to elevate it to the level of a professional kitchen. No effort or pride in the product. So over priced for less quality and flear than corner takeaway.
