We enjoyed the quick 20 minute walk up to the Centre of New Zealand. When at the top you can get great views out over Nelson Bay and on a good day you can even see the North Island. The track up is steep in places.

Visiting New Zealand for a month was an amazing experience loved every minute off it such a beautiful country will definitely be back made my heart sing very green xx❤️
It is well worth the climb up to the peak of this hill to see the commanding views out over Nelson and the bay. They are beautiful and you can see the city in detail.
The path up is steep in places and one of the routes we took was in need of some maintenance, otherwise it was excellent.
Just got to be done: it’s a lovely walk, with great views back over Nelson out to the Abel Tasman peninsula. Well worth extending along the ridge line to drop down into Founder’s Park and the Japanese Garden and then a gentle stroll back slo g the shoreline to the Maitai River and lunch at the Riverside Kitchen (see previous review)
A great little walk close to the centre of Nelson. Of course it is up hill but the trail is as easy as up hill trails get.
Great views over the coast line and the town. The walk up is steep at points so trainers are a LOT better flip flops! Take a water bottle
