An all day sunny room, very peaceful ( no outside noise), discreet helpful staff, convenient location to local walks n town, amazing shower, bed, pillows, tv. Brilliant selection of coffee n herb tea, kitchen well supplied. Exceptionally clean, tidy, luxurious. The DO NOT DISTURB sign worked, unlike other motels.
Even cooked breakfast if required.

Contemporary design, heavenly beds, pristine clean

One of the nicest places we stayed in our 1-month trip around NZ. Beautiful contemporary design, SPOTLESSLY clean (WOW-zahs) and the COMFIEST bed with crisp white sheets (oh-my-goodness - we're n heaven) and so many details thought through (built-in luggage shelf; fancy teas, adorable teapot, lovely hand and body soaps). Heather was delightful and engaging, offering valuable tips, e.g. to make a pitstop at Mapua Wharf - we were tickled what a lovely discovery it was! Thank you for the memorable stay.

Very comfortable and modern

Very modern accomodation, clean and comfortable. The hosts are super friendly and make sure the place is looked after. Having a safe and good facilities is important. IWe enjoyed sitting outside having a coffee and watching the world go by. We would stay here again

The location is close enough to
Town and restaurants, yet a quiet
Residential neighborhood
We never drive to dinner, no need

A modern motel in a great location

There is something special about family owned motels and lodges in New Zealand and I will always try and book these when staying. The Sails did not disappoint. The room was our home from home for a week and suited us perfectly where we could cook our own meals one night and then eat out another night. The location was perfect, a short walk into the city centre and yet minutes from the main highway and beach. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Smart apartment near the centre.

Smart apartment minutes from the town centre and cafes / restaurants. Comfortable and quiet location. Nelson is a really nice town and I can’t add anything more that is useful but some idiots want 200 characters. So 24 more letters of waffle.
