Great location but most important, fantastic rooms (not only were they spotless they are so well designed, particularly the kitchenette), supernice staff, and a fantastic breakfast you can get delivered to your room in the morning. We could not fault the stay. Highly recommended
Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a 6 week NZ tour. We have been to Nelson a few times (great town) but this was the first time we had stayed at Sails (I believe it’s only recently opened). We opted for the one bed apartment and were very impressed with the quality of the furnishings and sense of space.
The owners were super helpful and welcomed us on arrival. With such a great product offering I hope Sails does well.

The quality of the room for the price was second to none. We had the jacuzzi room and i could not fault anything. The rooms were light and bright and great to have a kitchen and comfortable sofa for a change! We did not use the balcony as it looked out over the road but we were out and about most of the time anyway. Great place to stay in nelson

Great place. Wish they were everywhere. This is a motel which concerned us, but it’s not like any motel I’ve ever seen in the States. Our room had two large rooms, bedroom, living room plus the bath and full kitchen. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve had. Everything was spotless. We controlled room temperature. Laundry for guests. Great couple managing it—they were so responsive even after hours and gave us great advice for our next location. Highly recommend.

SUPER well appointed suite. Super friendly and easy check-in with helpful advice for food options in town. Easy walking distance to all types of food.
Very comfy king bed, pillows and huge bathroom with great green products. Adam would also point out LARGE TV! :-) Plus so many other little things from USB charger, umbrella, robes, bed lamps, groovy yet practical furniture, crockery and glassware, utensils etc that make this place SO EASY AND GREAT to stay. We thought about staying longer just to enjoy the room more! crazy I know but it felt that comfy and relaxing. :-)
