We stay in Nelson and at The Sails every year when we visit New Zealand. We just stayed for the 4th time and
Have booked for next January. The property is well located, comfortable, and spotless. We love Nelson
And so enjoy walking around the residential neighborhood and the few blocks into town. Mark and
Cecelia are so warm and helpful. For us it is the perfect stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights and would quite happily have stayed for the full week we were in the south island. We were early to the property and popped to ask if we could leave the car while we went in to Nelson and were told that we could book in immediately.
The owner of the property went out of his way to point out on a map places of interest etc. We also got to listen from our appartment to the UB40 concert going on in the adjacent rugby ground.
Definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Nelson.

Stayed just one night really really loved it in the Executive Suite awesome really clean big massive flat screen in the lounge & the bedroom coffee machine there as well as bar fridge a lot to offer the desiring traveller would love to have stayed longer truely recommend a stay at the Sails when in Nelson

Very, very comfortable rooms, modern bathroom, great shower, good location and friendly hosts. Great for our family of seven (split over three rooms). Very nice range of teas provided. Quick walk into Nelson.

My wife and I stayed here for only one night in March, but it was en extremely nice experience. I won't need to add anything to the already great reviews, only to say The Sails has earned all their high marks.
The room is spacious, extremely nicely appointed and very comfortable. The location is great with easy walking access to downtown.
If you're looking for a place to stay in Nelson, you've found it with The Sails. High marks all around. As added bonus for those of on long road trips, the laundry is great also.
