A really reasonably priced activity that gives everyone in the family the opportunity to be as inquisitive and wowed as they want. It's junky and mechanical and wonderful all at once. Such a cool hour or so spent here. Hats off to the creators.

It was somewhere we had tried to visit a few times, finally got there at opening time of 10.00... for $10 per adult is a good price for what you get... lots to look at, lots to try and do go to the Portal.. very pretty.

Mixed bag. Nothing quite like it I imagine anywhere else in the world. Reasonable price of $10 NZ so didn’t mind. Spent an hour. Best part was ‘The Portal’ a light exhibition. As other reviewers have said, could be expanded upon a lot more but all money I guess. Mixed bag.

This is funny place, a bit dark and not easy to see the exhibits and sometimes not really easy to find out what this should tell.

Oamaru is famous for its love of steampunk and you have to visit Steampunk HQ when exploring the town. It is fun and quirky and will appeal to young and old alike. Staff are helpful and wheelchair accessibility is overall really good.
