Good sized room for family

We booked a family room for ourselves and our 2 children (aged 23 & 18). Was fantastic size with 2 double beds in one room and one double bed in the other. Also had a small kitchen area with a fridge and a couch, along with having 2 bathrooms.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was very tasty. Service at the start was fantastic, however if we’d wanted dessert or a second drink we were out of luck.
We also had breakfast there before leaving for the airport. It was ok, however some of the items were a bit luke-warm.
Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Shuttle service to airport is great.

Smelly and loud room and disinterested staff

My room, no 1133 stank like old chip fat. I reported it to the desk clerk who didn't really seem to care. The smell was that bad, as well as the extremely loud Aircon meant I got zero sleep. I certainly won't be staying there again. I said I wished to make a complaint, but have heard nothing. Very poor service

Room tip: Don't put up with a smelly room and raise the issue early

I sincerely apologize for the issues that you had experienced during your stay with us.
The team is more than happy to have sorted this for you had we been advised on the evening rather than check out. We do prefer guests to have a wonderful experience with us.
The room type you were in does have double glazing to prevent the noise and smell issues, but having said that as mentioned, if this was not satisfactory, please a simple call to reception would have solved this for you.
Please know that I have taken note of your concerns and will work with the relevant departments to ensure these issues are addressed and rectified going forward.

Excellent airport hotel

We stayed just for one night prior to flying out of NZ. One of the best airport hotels I have experienced. Rooms spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of easy parking and easy journey to drop off hire car in the morning. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good, reasonable value and very tasty. Highly recommend and would use again

Good but with sour taste.

Such great facilities.
Beds are comfortable.
showers decent.
Toiletries lovely. Rooms exceptionally clean thanks to Mararaa.
The problem comes down to money. I asked on line about parking and was assured it was free.
Got there and told us ten days only . Lucky I had a copy of the online confirmation about parking. Still charged us for the two days over what was on the print out...
That and not being about to change the air con temperature, set too hot to sleep well.

Firstly, I would like to apologize for any confusion regarding the car storage. We do offer 10 days of complimentary car storage for guests who book directly with the hotel. However, this offer is not valid for bookings made through third-party websites such as Booking.com or Expedia.

Regarding the issue with the air conditioner, we have checked and confirmed that it is operating normally. Some air conditioners may take a little time to recalibrate the room temperature. I am not sure if you contacted the front desk to investigate or resolve this issue to ensure that you had an enjoyable stay with us.

We hope that you will give us the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and know that you are now aware of the car storage t&cs when booking.

Good and Bad

The rooms are good - clean and adequate.
Meals are very disappointing. We stayed for one night before going overseas, spent $290 on meals for four people and all of us were disappointed. On returning from overseas we allowed hope to conquer experience and dined there again but elected for light meals. These were worse than our first experience. Neither of the staff members we told of our experience even said they were sorry.

So, it's convenient to stay and have the free shuttle to the airport but we will never eat there again.

Room tip: Just don't dine there.
