I never write about airport hotels - not much to recommend them, usually. Jet Park hotel exceeded ALL expectations!
Don’t be fooled by the drab facade and dull location this hotel is PERFECT for a quick stay pre-departure.
Super CLEAN room, comfy bed, nice amenities that are usually found at higher end hotels, good lighting, mirrors and TV.
We came down from the north to catch our flight out. Reception was waiting for us. Ample luggage carts, warm welcome. Cold beer available to quench our thirst after our long drive.
We dumped our bags and enjoyed a nice glass of wine and sunset in the beer garden out back. Some sports TV was on in the main bar. Looks like a kid friendly place - outside play area.
Dinner was the best surprise - someone knows their way around the Jet park kitchen! Beautiful vegetables and hot crispy chips came out quickly. We found plenty on the menu eat. There is also a quick grab & go sandwich counter if you’re lacking time for a sit down dinner.
Even little details like a salon-quality blow dryer makes a difference.
Well done Jet Park. Keep up the good work.
This hotel is a good surprise and great value if you’re looking/needing a pillow close to AKL
