Great airport location with free shuttle to airport. Safe and secure parking - additional cost but economical, while you’re away. The staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. The restaurant is fab, great buffet breakfast catering for all types and the dinners equally nice. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean.

Because of a late flight we couldn't make our domestic connection so our travel agent booked us into the Jet Park Hotel for a one night stay. First you have to call the shuttle driver directly to get him/her to pick you up at the airport. This is kind of a pain after a long international flight. One more thing to do! It would be much better if there just was a designated shuttle pick-up point and the shuttle came every 15 or 20 minutes. Most of the other airport hotels do this so I don't know why Jet Park doesn't as well. It was also annoying that the shuttle driver was constantly taking calls from other passengers on our trip from the airport to the hotel to arrange pick-up times and locations. The driver should be concentrating on driving, not taking calls! Very strange system!! When we arrived at the hotel the reception was very busy but there were only 2 people helping with check-in. It took a long time to get to our room. The elevators are few and far between and we had to walk what seemed like miles to get to our room. If we could take the stairs we would have been at our room immediately. But with all of our luggage this wasn't possible. Again, very bizarre for an airport hotel. Then when we finally arrived in our room we were quite shocked at the size. This has to be one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in! I know airport hotels tend to be on the smaller size, but once we got our suitcases in the room, there was absolutely no room to walk anywhere! The bathroom is so small, it is actually claustrophobic, especially since the door won't stay open unless you jam a towel under the corner! There is only a double bed as well, though it was clean and comfortable. Besides the size of the room, another complaint was the infernal banging of doors that started quite early in the morning. Every time a person entered or left another room in our very busy hallway, it was like a shot gun going off. So even though the bed was comfy, neither my husband nor I had a restful sleep. Perhaps the management could put a sign in the rooms asking guests not to bang doors in order to show respect to other guests. When I left the room in the morning, I was able to shut my door without it banging, so it is indeed possible! We were hoping to get a beer in the lounge after a long day of travel but they close at 11pm. Most airport hotels I've stayed in have extended service to accommodate travellers. We also had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. It cost $32 a person and it is a buffet with all the usual breakfast fare. A tip - ask for your own cooked eggs instead of eating the slimy scrambled eggs on the buffet. The service was awful! Coffee is not included on the buffet. You have to ask for it from the server. The morning we were there, there was only one server and she was too busy cleaning all the dirty tables to pay any attention to us. We had to ask her 2 times for coffee. Then when we finally got our drinks, there was no cream or sugar on our table. We had to ask for those items as well. Another wait! Then we tried to get a refill. Again we had to ask twice and wait for a very long time. Not good enough when you are paying $32 for breakfast. If we have to stay over in Auckland again, I will look for another airport hotel. I have stayed in many airport hotels all over the world and in my opinion, this one does not measure up to the rest. Too bad!

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Jet Park Hotel.

We pride ourselves on the high levels of service we offer and are disappointed that we were unable to meet your expectations. With reference to your comments regarding the shuttle service, during peak periods, we run shuttles every half hour, however, during the quieter times, we run our shuttles on demand. The other hotels in the area, make use of a bus service and there is a cost of $6 per person, per trip for this service, whereas we run a direct complimentary shuttle service.

We, at Jet Park Hotel, are continuously upgrading and improving our facilities and as part of that program, we are currently, upgrading our 20 year old elevator, which was out of order during your stay. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

On further investigation, it appears you were booked into one of our entry level rooms. We do have a variety of different room types to suit the needs of all our guests. When next you stay with us, may we suggest you request your Travel Agent to reserve a different room type.

Jet Park is close to the airport and have a great shuttle service from, and to the airport. They also have free parking for 10 days making it very convenient when travelling overseas from outside Auckland. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of their restaurant.

Stayed over the night before an early morning flight but also wanted the convenience of long term parking. This place ticked the boxes. From check in to check out, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
The room was small (understandably so) but had all you needed for an overnight stay, it was clean and well maintained.
Good size bar/lounge which had a good atmosphere. Had dinner at the hotel restraunt, the food was excellent and so was the service. Would definitely come back again.

My wife and I stayed with our 2 kids (3 & 9yrs old). We stayed one night.
The room was clean and the staff were nice and friendly.
The 'Continental Breakfast' seemed a little pricey but was tasty, had good options and was replenished. (Staff brought us coffee, tea, juice.)
The wifi worked great in the lobby/bar area but not in our room which was on the 1st floor (0054?). We only had 1 bar of Wifi in our room and couldn't get any of our devices to get online even though we could connect.
The inside kids play area was tiny and not worthwhile.
(We didn't use the airport shuttle since we had rented a car.)

Room tip: Wifi not good in all rooms. Test the Wifi immediately, if you need it. Ask to change rooms if you don't have good coverage.
