We stayed a night here after flying in in the evening. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes for the motel shuttle and needed to ring them twice. The room had been 'refurbished' and looked cleaner than our previous stay.
There were no electric blankets or extra bedding. We needed more as the night was very cool and we were uncomfortably cold.
The shuttle to the airport in the early morning left the accommodation on time and we were delivered quickly to the airport.
I would not recommend this place at all. I had so many complaints about our stay here. Absolutely disgusting rooms, we slept on a base and mattress that had no legs on the bed making it very difficult to get out of the bed.
On arrival at the hotel the receptionist was extremely rude to us and had the worst attitude. He needs to be fired for the disgusting way he talks to customers. He barked orders at us and was hard to deal with. I only stayed as we had a long travel day and I was so tired. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the person in the room next door snoring half the night! There was a hole in the wall next to the bed covered in duct tape and a hole in the bench in bathroom where the basin is! See photos. I would NOT recommend this motel to anyone. Look for somewhere else to stay that has better customer service where the receptionist doesn’t belittle it’s customers and one that has been properly maintained. Don’t waste your money on this.
Ok motel if you’re just spending a night here before or after a flight to or from Auckland Airport. Nothing flash but suited me fine as it was only for the night before and the night of arrival back from overseas . The airport shuttle is a great asset and they will drop you at airport, and pick u up ( I landed at 1am and they picked me up after clearing customs etc so around 2am ) which is extremely handy. I would stay here again but only for travel overseas circumstances when u just want a bed for the night .
Bed was way too soft though , and other arrogant customers like to be noisy at night or when arriving from the airport so if you have a early flight & need to wake early like me ( 4am ) this is a issue .
This place was DISGUSTING. Should have read Trip Advisor’s feedback first but booked at last minute & in a hurry. Needs bulldozing. To say the room was basic was an understatement. Have stayed at better camp sites. Hole in wall covered with duct tape. Holes in plastic bathroom basin plugged up, massive hole right through vanity unit top. Room did not lock very securely. Dingy room, dirty skirting boards/floors Night porter was extremely belligerent, claimed we weren't at the correct meeting place, refused to come back for us said we had to make our own way at our cost. At 1.30 am, this cost us $55 taxi fare. He then said he was denying us access to the hotel, had to beg & plead, we were SO TIRED. He said he didn't like our attitude! We are a quiet couple in our mid-60s. Eventually he let us have a room. Felt very distressed & traumatized & violated - hardly slept. Next morning, asked receptionist to feed back to Manager suggesting the least he could do was refund our taxi fare - no refund or communication from Manager since. Isn't there a hotel association who should be inspecting such premises? Their website claims this to be a luxury urban motel! This is false mis-representation. DO NOT STAY THERE.
