First impression was the place looked a bit dated however the rooms are very large and quiet. Lovely towels and bedding plus the bed was very comfortable . The room also had a hot plate etc . Bathroom was clean . Good place to stay if you have an early flight . Free airport transfer .
We asked specifically for a quiet room when we reserved one month before we arrived.
We were given a room the side by the main Road. I explained that we had asked for one of the quieter rooms at the back but was told they were full.
Considering I had made our request a month earlier I was disappointed.
We had a bad night as the road traffic was so noisy.
The shower door was broken as it was off the runners at the bottom. This made it difficult to shut the shower door.
The TV picture was so poor it wasn't worth watching.
It was clean and pick up from Airport was good however i would not stay here again.
I would not recommend this Hotel
The reception was extremely rude. The website says free shuttles for 24 hours a day and we let the receptionist know two of use were needing a shuttle the night before however when we checked out at 9:30 she told us and some other guests tough luck these ended at 9!? She also didn't even offer some guidance on how we could get to the Airport even though it was obvious we didn't know the area.
We also had ants in our room and when i let them know when we were checking out they didn't care at all and said well did you come see us however we didn't as it was almost 2 in the morning and not much they could have done. She didn't even apologise or anything she basically just said too bad that sucks for you. We also saw some ants in the lobby while checking out.
We also were only given one towel between 4 of us and the sheets had lots of stains on them.
I booked this place due to its location and price. It’s only 10 minutes from the Auckland airport in a residential neighbourhood. Very quiet area. I called the owner once we had collected our baggage and he arrived 15 minutes later in his shuttle van. Auckland had some extreme flooding a few days ago and unfortunately his motel saw lots of damage. The room I had booked was one of those affected and he had upgraded us to a larger room. We were put in an upper level room and there is no elevator. Nice little kitchen, balcony, very comfy beds. We had a great sleep.
There are several restaurants and small groceries walking distance away. The Central Bakery next door is fantastic! Great meat pies.
I’d call this a budget motel. Nothing fancy, could use a really good deep cleaning but overall, no complaints. The free shuttle to and from the airport was great. Good for a 1 night stay.
Good location, we had a quiet room and the shuttle service was fine. Bseing airport accommodation we asked for an hour later check out as we arrived at midnight from a 9 hour international flight. Sorry we dont do late check outs and tbe shuttle after 10am is $50! No flexibility . The rooms are fine but cleanliness is poor, tile floor needs a scrub and had hair on it. The carpet was sticky. Our family have been in hotels over 30years. Get the standard of cleanliness up and be a little flexible for international travellers and you will have good located accommodation
for the traveller.
