Unacceptable hospitality service and care

Waited around for the receptionist for 15-20min to check in as she was doubling as the shuttle driver.
Standard room we stayed in was the most run-down, mould and cobwebs infested room I have ever encountered.
Walls had stain or abrasian marks and generally looked like all their cleaners bothered with was changing of the beds and some light dusting.
A note in the kitchen asked for guests to wash our own dishes... enough said!
Shower door dropped off its tracks completely when I attempted to open it, unsurprising, considering the mould buildup along the tracks.
No electric blankets.
No milk in the fridge.

Left our car in their care for two weeks, and on our return discovered several tears to the leather drivers seat. When we questioned the staff member on-site about this he denied possibility of staff responsibility and suggested tears were merely from general wear.
We contacted the manager via email and explained the damage, to which he replied rudely with barely a three line email stating "We did not damage your car".

This place is not a 4 star establishment (otherwise standards have disparingly slipped), and consumer beware that in my opinion photos and statements on this company's website are misleading concerning the level of service and care provided here.

This place was disgusting. Walked into the room and the carpet was sticky and had dirt and little bits of food all over it. The lounges which two people were suppose to sleep on had white marks all over it and wouldn’t even let my animals sleep on it. The sheets in the bed looked like a worker had his boots on and walked over the sheets. Manager is so rude.

On our return from holiday we had to stay there again as the booking wasn’t refundable. We got to the lodge at 1.30am and another couple had arrived and had been told there booking was canceled they had just travelled from India on a 15 hour flight and had two young babies. To be told that in the middle of the night and had no where else to stay with no internet to search for another hotel. So me and my mother in law helped them for about an hour to find another place and finally we got somewhere on queens st. And I kindly asked if they could be dropped there and the lady rudely reply with saying no way.

The manager spoke so rudely to the couple and said “I told you there is no room for you here, would you like me to take you back to the airport or what are you going to do?”.

DONT EVER STAY HERE. THIS TYPE OF HOSPITALITY IS DISGUSTING.

We have been using this as our acommodation when travelling overseas for at least 10 years but our recent stay here means we wont be back.
Our room before our trip was bad. Dirty stains on carpet, unclean linen and no shower products in room. Luckily on the way back we had a clean room but we were overcharged. I showed them my confirmation but they refused to acknowledge it and said we had been sent the wrong one. Since then they have failed to respond to any communications.
They do have a great shuttle service but it wont be enough to entice us back.

Do not stay here if there is any chance you might have to cancel
or change your booking. We had booked 2 rooms and due to covid needed to change our booking. In no way will they accommodate a change nor can you get a refund.
We felt in these covid times and the fact there has been increasing covid numbers again that they would change our booking but no we had to pay again. To say we are disgusted is an understatement. Needless to
say we lost all our money and we will never ever think of staying there again.

Room tip: Do not stay here if here if there is any chance you have to cancel or change your booking you will lose any money you have paid

If I could give zero stars I would. I called to try resolve an issue with my card, as advised by Booking.com email to contact the hotel directly. The lady on the phone was rude, abrupt, talked over top of me, wouldn't answer my questions, raised her voice. The conversation escalated and I hung up after calling her customer service appalling. She refused to let me speak to anyone else. I called back to speak to a manager and was told they weren't a available and was hung up on. I called again to ask WHEN they would be available as I wanted to make a complaint. The lady was yelling raising her voice and ranting at me. I ended up emailing the manager who was equally unprofessional. Accused me of abusing his staff which is completely untrue. I was frustrated but not abusive. He refused to acknowledge my complaint about the staff members conduct, kept turing it back to me and the issue with my card (which I have no idea about as I provided the correct details and had funds available etc.) This company DOES NOT take responsibility for their service or behaviour. It is the cusotmers fault and they can do no wrong. Very sad attitude especially when they are likely struggling in the current climate of covid and increased costs etc. You'd think they would be customer focussed but sadly they are not. As is evident by the MANY reviews saying the same.

Motel on busy road, fairly close for studio units. Efficient process getting organised to get to airport.
Not so good on pickup - waited 1/2 hour on cold night. ,our vehicle was ready waiting. Ideal for those early morning flights.
