Our flight from Sydney was delayed causing us to miss our connecting domestic flight and having to stay in Auckland overnight. Unfortunately, if this happens to you at Auckland Airport (and probably at any airport in NZ), you're on your own in finding accommodation. After phoning around numerous hotels, most with an answer phone or asking to be emailed with details, we were so pleased that the Airport Manor Inn answered our call and had a vacant room. Furthermore, they had a a very welcome shuttle service which picked us up and took us back to the airport early the next morning. We were so grateful to be accommodated at the last minute. Enjoyed my stop over here last night. Staff were courteous, pickup and drop off to airport easy and hassle-free (4am departure for a 6am flight).

The room was an unusual layout, apparently designed not to catch the light! But I liked the high ceilings, it was very clean, warm, quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was very modern - the spa bath was a hoot, flashing lights and energetic bubbles galore, yay!

You can walk easily to a couple of superettes and a takeaway place.

It wasn't cheap, but then nothing is near Auckland airport and it was an excellent mid-range choice. I'll stay again and can recommend.
