“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2014

This trip was a very nice experience, very well organized, the crew are really professional and very informative giving us a trilling "eco-hunt" for the whales. The balance of the day: 3 whales, a lot of dolphins and seals. The mountains views from the sea are great too. The little Kaikoura is a awesome place and have a lot of things to do and see.

“Very professional operation”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014

Very professional, organised operation. Unfortunately we were unable to find the elusive sperm whale despite the valiant attempts to locate the beast from our captain & guides. However this is not a Circus or zoo so although disappointed our guides provided us some excellent information on the ecosystem and marine life off Kaikoura. What was a pleasant surprise was that the company refunded 80% of our fee as we did not see a whale on the trip.

Kia Ora, we are sorry that you were unable to see a whale during your time with us but as your pointed out we are visitors into the whales natural environment and totally at the discretion of nature. We hope that the rest of your time in NZ was successful with many lasting memories.

“Spent best day whale watching.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

Best trip of my time in New Zealand. The staff are friendly and certainly know their stuff. I was a bit apprehensive as I suffer with sea sickness but they were really helpful and gave me plenty of tips to ward it off. Whale was awesome and the dolphins just rounded off a great day out.

“Brilliant !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

By far one of the best tours we did during our 3 week honeymoon on the South Island of NZ.

It is a very professional operation. The staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The boat is clean and spacious and really comfortable.

The stars of the show bought tears to our eyes. We were so lucky to see 2 whales, a number of albatross, many seals and hundreds of dolphins.

It was the perfect morning and something we will remember forever.

“Amazing, but expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014 via mobile

We went to kaikoura after I received a gift voucher for whale watching for my birthday. Whale Watch did a great job. They were extremely knowledgeable, and were able to find and predict where and when the whale would resurface, even without sonar equipment. Commentary was interesting and informative. In most cases, you won't really see a whole lot of the actual whale. Unfortunately we only saw the one whale twice, rather than different whales or different types of whales, but that is the nature of the adventure. We were able to see a pod of dusky dolphins though, which were extremely playful and entertaining.

This is a great way to sit back and watch nature and the price is worth it.
