Our hosts, Francis and Brian, were wonder hosts. Our stay was part of the west coast wilderness trail. I would highly recommend Teichelmanns as a place to stay. The bed was luxurious, the breakfast extensive and cups of tea at the ready. We learned a lot of very interesting Hokitika history.

Wow wonderful stay here. The house was beautiful and immaculately presented. The hosts Francis and Brian were welcoming, friendly and so knowledgeable sharing history and recommendations. We loved Francis sharing the history of the house and town. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were outstanding and immaculate. The bed was so comfortable I had trouble leaving the next morning. Thankyou both for welcoming us all into your beautiful home. A true highlight of our trip.

We stayed here as a couple from a group of 8 people and this was a highlight.
Such a welcoming couple. The place was very clean and tidy. The breakfasts very nice. Our group could not say enough positive words for our stay here. We all recommend staying here . Thank you very much for having us.
Excellent stay - the accommodation is excellent. We stayed in the little room out the back - nice seating area looking on to a delightful garden. You wouldn't think you were in the middle of Hokitika town. Walk to all the shops, bars etc.

We stayed at this lovely B & B in Feb 2023 before moving on to Franz Josef. The most lovely hosts Brian and Francis. We were met at the door and they immediately made us feel welcome, made us coffee (with biscuits) and showed us to our room which was a separate dorm from the main house. Then sat with us on the patio chatting about our journey down. The room was lovely and had a great bathroom/shower. The experience at the B & B was very personal in terms of our stay which was very warming. Breakfast was great. All in all, a great place to stay whether visiting or passing through Hokitika. We’d stay again if we ever pass through that way.
