Only a few minutes from town and doesn’t take long but worth it! After passing on te Anau due to the time/cost and it not being particularly child friendly this was the next best thing. Go and check it out. Very short walk, suitable for wheelchairs and prams.

Nice little walk into a nook to see glow worms. Must go at night and take a torch facing the ground. Right on the highway not far out of town.

We found this place by accident - obviously you will need a torch or use your mobile phone torch to navigate the short walk. It was beautiful to see the glow worms - great for young kids.

Beautiful nature! The glow worms are delightful. It is obviously very dark so you will need to tread carefully

Only a short walk or drive from town, this is a hidden gem. At night the glow worms are spectacular. Winter is a great time to visit with smaller kids due to the longer nights, you can be there and back well before bed-time!
