I stayed here for two nights over New Year and it was one of the highlights of my four weeks in New Zealand. The welcome from Jan was awesome, she cam to meet me as soon as I drove up and showed me to my beautiful room. The room was a delight, all the usual amenities, the most comfortable bed ever and an outside seating area. And then there was the view ... awesome! The location of this B&B is superb. The breakfasts were tasty as was the antipasto platter I enjoyed one evening. Jan is also incredibly knowledgeable about the whole of the West Coast and was able to recommend places for me to stop off on the way to Breakers and for the rest of my journey down the coast. The local walks she recommended to me were wonderful. I wish I could have stayed longer

This was our last night in NZ and what a send off. So far away from the masses. Our room had a spectular view of the sea. A rainy day so strong seas crashing down. And the other wide had a magificient contrasting view of the range and the forest on it. Away from the road. Very private. Very comfortable. Jan was a wonderful host. A must if you are near there. Wish we had another night!

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor. Either are great.

Thanks David for your awesome review. So glad to be your last night in NZ and make it a special one for you - well us and Mother Nature, have to give credit where credit is due. I always say to our guests if you're going to have stormy weather what better than to be able to sit and watch it and you can certainly do that from our place. Glad you loved it as much as we do. Hope you do make it back sometime and have the opportunity to stay a little longer to soak up the views. Warm regard Jan

Breakers has THE most stunning location, above a beautiful beach. Rooms make the most of the views. Jan is a super hostess, making us all welcome from the moment we arrived, and provided heaps of local knowledge. Homemade pizza on the balcony after a stroll on the beach was a great end to the day. And breakfast was just delicious.

From the moment we pulled into the driveway we knew we had picked a great B&B. Jan meet us at the door, escorted us to a beautiful room overlooking the sea, and delivered a homemade pizza following a day of driving. Jan was a valuable resource in helping us select stupid along the way. A definite place to stay in route to Franz Joseph and Fox glaciers.

Firstly, the drive to Breaker's from Greymouth along the great coast road was so beautiful that we missed the sign and had to turn back haha! Do look out carefully for it! What a wonderful property - we were immediately welcomed by Jan who took us through our room which was spacious (3 beds) and had a patio looking out towards a neat garden and then the sea! Room was very clean and well maintained with all the necessary amenities. Free wifi but only gripe was that it went off a few times at night, but I would suggest having a digital detox to enjoy the views and sea breeze! Sadly, we didn't get to travel down to the beach as it was raining but it looked really secluded and exclusive.

Breakfast was good with everyone sitting around a communal table, and Jan briefed us on the nice spots to stop by on our road trips. Wish we stayed there for longer, such a nice house on the edge of the sea....

Thanks so much for your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and everything about our location - the views, the beach, our breakfast and our sightseeing suggestions. Regarding spotty wifi, we do mention this on our website and also on checkin but like you say sometimes it is nice to have the excuse to detox from the digital world for a little bit. It was also a rough evening and that can interfer with the signal. Pleased to hear it wasn't the bee all and end all to your stay with us. Best thing is wishing you had stayed longer - that is all we can ask for and hope you do make it back someday - for a longer period of time, even if just one extra night. Wishing you all the best - until the next time......
