On the main highway and not built to keep out the noise. As a light sleeper I had to use a pillow to block out the noise from 6am. Ok if you want to travel early . Seems that most motels are on this strip of highway. Perhaps they have better sound insulation. Good sized rooms. Helpful staff.

Stayed here with aged father ( New Zealander)

Chose as a base to visit local area including Hokitika, Greymouth.

Was clean and the owner was very helpful, I had a great walk on the beach which is just out of the back gate.

Good value

The Charles Court is well signposted, so easy to find this motel just south of Greymouth. The room was clean, spacious and well equiped with what you would expect. Some furniture and fixtures are showing some age but still very functional.
Overall good value motel serviced by friendly staff/owners. If you're looking for an evening meal there is a bar/restaurant just 2 mins south along the main road, who offer a great menu.

We stayed at their 2 bedrooms apartment for two nights. There is a swimming pool it is quite cold out there so we did not really have a chance to use this facility. The apartment we had is fine, just their sofa looks old and dirty, but their beds are very comfortable, rooms are all clean. They do have a lovely playground for kids, and just few mins walk to beach.

Great little motel, located a bit out of town & right on the beach. Very clean & tidy, comfortable beds & great water pressure/heat! The managers, Jeremy & Rachel, were lovely - picking us up from the railway station & dropping us back there. They recommended 2 places for dinner, the walking distance local fish & chips (SO tasty! Walk out motel gate & turn right.) & a local bistro (no doubt equally as good).

Would stay there anytime.
