Ice cold Speight’s served as it should be, Distinction Ale! Yummo. The beer menu has a porter as Non applicable slightly odd for a Sepight’s pub. The bar staff are friendly and helpful.

Service is important and being prepared to Service customers is key, unfortunately on our visit they where not particularly up to par!

Overall the beers Speights, but the bar management need to up their game, for a destination pub that has a train arrive on its door step with international visitors to NZ it’s disappointing to see a few extra staff have not been put on to “serve” the customers.

Both Speights display cabinets in the entrance lay empty. :-(

After coming off the trans alpine in Greymouth we decided to have a bit to eat the
Speights ale house which was right across the road from the train station very handy. The service was great and the food was also good.

This is a lovely restaurant, bright with good décor, friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices and nice and cosy especially on a cold wet night that we encountered. Good overall experience.

Went for lunch on cold day. The chowder was to die for. Plenty of fish and real chowder taste. Handy next to train station. Staff friendly enough, service ok without being exceptional.

Went here with friends for lunch
Lunch was good probably just your typical
Chain restaurant. One if the staff had an issue with putting on the gas heater for us
Complaining that it was expensive to run.
But as there was 6 of us sitting there drinking I wouldn't have thought this should have been a problem
