Luckely we just stayed there for one night. I checked in with a friend of mine so two persons.
We had a cabine who was made for seven people, no idea why as we only needed two beds. We just received blankets for one bed and as it was quite cold and we both needed it we had to sleep in the same bed which would be a problem if the bed wouldn‘t be that small. It was quite uncomfortable. The are super low quality and way to soft.
The house has been constructed for at least seven people but we only had two jacks, we had some struggles to charge all devices over night - no idea who you will manage seven people‘s devices.
The heather in our room wasn‘t working too.
The worst thing was the showers and toilets. There is no toilet in the room. Toilet and showers are situated outside in the middle of the campsite. It was raining cats and dogs the whole village was flooded, it was super uncomfy to get there and there are only two toilets and two showers.

This place is okay as a campsite for campers etc but it‘s not a motel... I don‘t recommend staying here unless you have your own camper.

I am utterly surprised that I am reading your review and cannot understand that you did not come to the office to let us know of your concerns. Most of these could have been easily fixed at the time e.g. blankets and heater.

As for you being in a standard cabin (with no toilet and shower). Your Travel Agent requested and booked a standard cabin (not a motel) so this is why you were in that cabin. This is something you need to take up with them. We just booked what your Travel Agent asked us to book.

Your last comment telling people not to say here unless you are in a camper is an unfounded remark as you did not see any of our lovely motels units to be able to make this recommendation.

I stayed for one night with my husband and 18 year-old son. The motel is on the south side of Greymouth and it's a bit of a drive in to town (or a cycle, whatever).
The room was clean an comfortable. We had a one-bedroom unit with an extra bed in the living room. It works well. The room was very clean and some of the fixtures were a bit dated but that adds to the charm. Yes, the stainless steel in the room was spectacular! I don't know how they do it but it was sparkling.
The motel is literally a minute from a spectacular beach. It's an incredibly long beach and there seems to be a cycle track along it that you can take to Greymouth if you have a bike.
The owner (sorry - terrible with names) was really helpful and friendly. We were driving on to Nelson after our stay in Greymouth. She told us to forget the Google maps route and take the road north from Greymouth. Listen to this lady, people. She knows what she's talking about. It was a fantastic route

We originally booked a tent site at the Kiwi holiday park, but torrential rain/storm scared the life out of us. Thankfully there was a cabin available and we were able to upgrade (simply paying the difference). Linda was extremely friendly and gave us great tips about the area! The room itself was clean and very big. The bathrooms were situated in a separate block, also very clean and well kept. Loved our stay!

Thanks for letting us know that you enjoyed your stay. I was very happy that you decided to upgrade to the cabin and found that clean and comfortable. It was definitely the right choice with the wild weather we had. I hope the tenting holiday carried on without any other adverse weather.

We arrived mid evening a bit disorganised, as we hadn't properly read the details of the cabin we'd booked, and assumed that bedding was provided because our next stop that was part of the same group did provide bedding.
When we realised our mistake, I went to try to hire bedding, however we were provided with it at no extra charge, even though it was our mistake.
That friendly service at the end of a long day on the road is what would have me staying there again.
I couldn't get the free wifi to work, however we were there to sleep, and go for a walk at the beach, and this we achieved to great satisfaction.
The two minute walk to the beach made for some pleasant exploring.
Bear in mind though that it's a substantial distance to the centre of Greymouth, so you probably won't want to walk that distance, and need to allow a few minutes even in the car.

Room tip: Cabins are cozy, but do remember to bring your own bedding or be prepared to pay extra.

Nice clean spot easily accessible from the road. Entry into Motorpark was not well signposted but not the end of the world. Jacuzzi available and the bathroom was clean. Oven and kitchen were also fine. WiFi is good

For the price of the room (less than US$100 per night), this was one of the better Holiday Parks. Clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly service, some kitchen facilities and, for the one night stopover, certainly worth a mention.
