The front desk is not staffed 24 hours, which is fair enough if one can easily contact a staff member outside duty hours but the lodge is situated next to a major noisy highway and it was difficult to hear the response on the intercom. It's obviously not the Lodge's fault, but the door to our accommodation was difficult to operate, and the handle fell off on the day of our departure.
A warm welcome to this comfortable, clean and well appointed unit. Excellent bathroom with spa bath which we didn't use, but the shower over it was great. A good bathroom and comfortable bed are essential, so a double tick.
We took the offered option of room service for breakfast and it was worth it. Fresh and hot and delivered to the door right on the nominated time.
An interesting name far from France and not a vineyard in sight ? The owner could not enlighten us, the name came with their purchase.
Very nice room it is a good size with a very comfortable bed. We were there for 2 nights for work and enjoyed the stay so we stayed an extra night. Close enough to town to walk there in 15 minutes, although it is on the main road the road noise was negligible.
Lovely & accommodating hosts that are property owners, very comfortable & luxurious room, sparkling clean, great breakfast (in room brought to you when you order the evening before), comfy robe, quiet even though on main road, will be very happy to return
The accomdation was excellent, clean, and was serviced every day, everything was quality and the bed was so soft and comfortable ( this writer could have lingered there for hours reading or watching the in room TV). The special touchs of ordaments, the Gideon bible which is always appreciated, the lovely skylight, and underfloor heating in the bathroom so lovely to step on too. The kitchen has all that you would need including a variety of glasses, cups, mugs and even a teapot, all of which added to the experience. The hosts are wonderful, friendly and special thanks for changing the light bulb so quickly much appreciated :-)
Although the weather didn't allow for sitting outside, the cushions and area were wonderfully set out, will have to come back in the summer :-)
