This is the one place i have found so far that i would like to give a mark above 5. Visited with a coupon for a burger and fries or slaw. Burger was awesome and tbe fries great. And fast. Barman was friendly and very knowledgeable. I got to try a beer recommended to my taste and it was perfect. Live music was on later and it looked as if the atmosphere would be brilliant.

Butter Factory is good if you just want to get cosy on the lounge with a book, or play cards with friends, or to meet people - you can meet for a cuppa if you're not drinking but their wine and beer list is quality too (they always have a cocktail or beer on special too). They hold arty events for creatives such as poetry night, live music, comedy as well as Te Reo Maori conversations. It's easiest just to follow their FB page to see their events list. Staff are awesome. They sometimes get known bands (free and ticketed) or organise all day gigs with live music. They have fantastic pub grub too - large portions, awesome flavours, and great value! It's a home away from home.

Great place to catch up with friends for a bite and a drink. Casual don’t have to be dressy. They do a $10 burger night, which are amazing. Also a 2 for 1 rib night. Chips and kumera chips are highly recommended. Friendly staff. Sometimes have live music. Funky little place.

I came here with my family on a week night. The place was not even half full but we waited about an hour before we got any food. The pizzas were thin, sloppy and overpriced. The flavour was ok but unfortunately didn't make up for the texture. They certainly weren't worth the prices they were charging in my opinion.
The only thing I did like about the place was the interesting decor and the staff who were very friendly and professional.

This is the coolest place in Whangarei. Best burger and chips in town. Good cocktails, friendly staff, modern and hip, liive music, gay friendly what else do you need.
