Nice place to stay, last minute booking but host was happy to open reception for us after hours.! We enjoyed our stay there, property is old but well maintained, will visit again and will recommend to others.

The manager was nice when checking in and the room was fine. There was a bit of a funky smell towards the top of the bed but from reading the rest of the reviews I think I just got unlucky that day. The thing that left me a bit annoyed was the manager gave me grief for using the hose to quickly wash some concrete splashes off my car. Took 2 minutes to quickly spray the stuff off but he didn't like it. Would normally give a place like this a better rating but that made the stay feel unwelcoming.
The manager is friendly and very good to deal with, and items like free wifi, an iron and board, hot drinks available, fridge and kitchen items available are all good.
The room I had was physically a bit run down and smelled very musty but it was clean (cleaned both days). One of the cheaper motels available and not too bad for the price.
We stayed at the Central Court Motel when the British & Irish Lions came to Whangarei. There was an admin. mistake with the booking and potentially left us with nowhere to stay on the busiest night of the decade! The response from Kevin was excellent and we left for Paihia the next morning delighted with the hospitality shown. Great place, great service, great guy. Thanks again, Kevin - we were hugely grateful.
Ah it was clean, comfortable, modern, and everything we needed it to be. The kitchen was well equipped too. Great spa & even better staff. Very grateful for this place to stay, would gladly come back again.
We have stayed here every time we have visited N Z since 1999 (7 times)and wouldn't consider any other. The rooms are well equipped and light and airy, Kevin and Misuza are both friendly and obliging. It's great and now with the refurbishment, even better.
