Friendly, welcoming hosts who provided a map of the area, suggested places to visit in the time we had available and recommeded a scenic route for our onward journey.
Motel was away from the noise of the main roads, important for one couple in our party, who are from the country. We stayed in two studio units, one on the ground floor, the other upstairs.
Both were spotless and equpped with everything we needed.
This is not a motel for those who want ultra-modern, bland, soulless surroundings.
We were two couples travelling together.

We were part of a large family staying in Whangarei for a wedding. Went spent 2 nights at this motel and it was great. We have a 4 year old son with Autism, and this motel was perfect, located in a quiet area, on a dead end street, and an easy walk to the suppermarket, church etc. We could have stayed at newer motels but I am really pleased we didnt. The swimming pool was alittle cold but it was refreshing on a hot day. And the management were really friendly and helpful. If we are ever if Whangarei again we will go back to this motel.

We Stayed here on 16 Nov 2009 in Room 16. Nice King Bed, TV, Fridge, MIcrowave oven, Electric Blankets. No Air-Conditioning but it is cool in this area. Large room in a quiet location
