Aqaba restaurant/bar has been around for decades at this location. Its worth a visit just for the building itself. Originally built as a Masonic lodge, it has later housed clothing retail and was a Night Club venue. It is huge. Come and look. Yesterday we were the first there for brekkie where, after a brief domestic argument within our nuclear family, I enjoyed their excellent mexican-style mince on ciabata with an egg, and she reported a great GF vege stack. The kid was sulking so got nothing. Nice that you continue to be there for us, Aqaba.

To be honest was hugely disappointed here . The building looks so inviting from the outside. Inside its like a big barn with poor acoustics and ambiance. We walked in and had to search for some one to tell us where to sit as we had booked. They did not explain that we had to go to the kitchen to choose and pay for meals. The meals were pretty average. May as well go to McDonald's.

Have been here any times in the past so thought it would be good - however ordered the special - a pork and apple burger. Sadly not even a whiff of pork or apple in the nose or the mouth. I certainly could taste plenty of breadcrumbs - staff response less than satisfactory. Many good restaurants around so won't be back

It had been quite a while since our last visit, so we were keen to see if things were as good as we had experienced previously. The answer was a definite "yes".
The young people who served us were uniformly friendly, helpful, and professional.
The food came promptly, and was thoroughly enjoyable.
We will still keep on coming.

The cafe has some new and very welcome items on the menu such as the open-topped Mexican chicken sandwich. Service was excellent; bright, friendly and helpful!
