My lovely wife and I visited with a Grab One voucher.. expected a cafe meal.. have driven past this establishment lots but not paid attention. We had purchased the Chefs Choice because of the voucher. What a meal!!. We enjoyed every mouthful and will go back for more after perusing the full menu. Elegant food, no other words for it. Sensible portions, beautifully cooked and presented.. I've ticked it as one of the best meals I can recall eating in a restaurant. Certificates on the wall showing the achievements of the chef. Service was efficient and friendly, ambience lovely with quiet blues, jazz etc. Other diners were there without the benefit of a voucher (cos we heard them ordering off the open menu) .. and this was a Wednesday night and remote from the town dining areas.. suggesting they have a following.. which doesn't surprise me.. We've already spread the work with our friends.. this place rocks.

This would be a great restaurant for a romantic dinner, unfortunately I was there for work, so no romance, however the Pork Belly was delicious and the service was great. This restaurant is a little out of the main area of Palmerston North, but well worth a visit.

Food, service, atmosphere all fantastic. We were a group of 6 and all had different items from the menu for mains and everyone had a little bit of food envy as each dish came out. And then there were the deserts - OMG. I had the crème brulee - one of my all time favourites and this would have to be the best I have had. Highly recommend Table 188

We've been to most restaurants in Palmerston North and decided to try Table 188 for a birthday celebration. I think we've now changed our "favourite restaurant" to Table 188! The food was great, the ambiance good, parking was easy and the bill was on par with many other PN restaurants. We highly recommend Table 188.

Not usually prone to writing reviews (have been tempted to write a couple of negative ones previously) but have been inspired to pen a few words about this fabulous find. Ambiance just right for any occasion, went with another couple but would be an ideal spot for a group or romantic evening too...lots of separate dining areas so didn't feel overlooked. Food spot on, all four entrees were delicious and the mains were even better. Everything cooked to perfection. The service is tops, attentive but not overbearing. Extremely friendly staff and owners. We will definitely be back and this is our new 'go to' restaurant in Palmy. Keep up the great work guys you deserve your plaudits.
