It’s a thumbs down from me for charging $1 to take leftover dinner home. Not the NZ way. Food was ok. Service was excellent until they charged us a surprise extra $1.

We had a very nice meal here - the food was tasty - the Kashmiri Naan was very good - as well we liked the Palek Paneer and the Lamb Korma we ordered - all very filling and good. The mains came with rice which was fine. We would definitely return!

Went there for dinner for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The place was brightly lit unlike most other Indian restaurants and the furniture was rather flamboyant which adds to the atmosphere.

We ordered the Onion Bhaji and Murg Tikka as starters, Palak Paneer and lamb korma as mains. The onion bhaji was not dipped in batter and deep fried. It was rolled with spices and chick pea and pan fried. Have to say we preferred this style over the common type we get from other Indian restaurants around Palmy. The Murg Tikka was nicely seasoned and soft. The lamb korma was average but the Palak Paneer was better than most we tried. Service was excellent, one of the cook even came to our table and explain the dish.
Overall: A+

We had dinner here recently on a Friday night and sadly the experience did not live up to our expectations given the other positive reviews on TA.
Service was nonexistent to the extent when we wanted more drinks it was quicker to go up to the counter and order them. Considering there were only twelve other diners in the near empty restaurant, this was poor.
Our meals were okay, good authentic flavours but the goat curry was tuff.
Could have been so much better.
