All kinds of noise here: road, rail, industrial port noise all through the night. Facilities very tired. One star for cute beach nearby. Avoid if possible-not good for a stopover or stay. Regretted not trying the alternative 10km south of the town.

This park is located in the port area, so expect some noise, both from trains and trucks. That said, it’s close to town (I was told 2 kilometres into Woolworths, but I walked and suspect it’s further). I’m a bit over parks offering “free wifi” when it’s either seriously problematic or can only be accessed at reception or the camp kitchen or the games room (in this case the camp kitchen or the games room, neither of which was close to our site). We upgraded to an en-suite, so can’t comment on the toilets/showers. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff on arrival where lovely. The site wasn't so level so our motorhome dipped and leaned to the front and one side.
The Ladies is seperate from the showers. They are a bit dated.
No coffee shop handy, so have to packup and to go get one.
Only stayed one night.

We were camping overnight on our way north and wanted to explore Geraldton a bit along the way.

The park it poorly located right in the port district which means that there are loud trains (think screeching brakes and shunting) all day and night as well as heavy trucks arriving and departing (air brakes, the occasional horns) at all hours. Very noisy and almost no sleep the whole night - it doesn’t stop - the port operated 24/7

The pool looks like it hasn’t seen water for a long time..... lucky there’s some okay beaches in the area.

Bathroom area is old and needs renovation- very basic and untidy looking. Kitchen could also use a spruce up.

Staff at reception were great - can’t fault that aspect. If they spent the money on facilities like they did for the reception area, they would be in a better position but I guess first impressions count?

I would seriously recommend one of the other parks in the area - there’s a few options - but the noise is terrible and makes it a spot to be avoided. The Big4 for example is a bit further out of town but looked much nicer when we checked it out on the way out of town.
