This is our 3rd stay here & again was great. Rooms present very well & clean, ensuring a comfortable night’s sleep.
Brilliant location close to waterfront & all shops on the Main Street.
Excellent management & staff.

We called at 4:45pm to make a dinner reservation only to get the answering machine and told to leave a message and they would get back to us. After no reply we rang again. Same deal. By 7pm and no reply we just went. We were asked “Do you have a reservation.” We said that we had been calling since 4:45pm and leaving messages but no one returned our calls as the message said they would do. The girl replied “Oh we aren’t answering the phones tonight.” My husband replied “Well how were we to make a booking?” What looked to be the manager stepped in and barked “there’s only four of us, we can only do what we can do.” We asked if they had a table. The girl said “yes” sign in and come this way. The manager said “don’t give it to them, there are other people waiting for it”. As we walked out there was no apology from the manager, no effort to see if there would be a table finishing soon. They clearly didn’t care about our business. In this economy when city people are encouraged to visit the country to help out small businesses and you get the cold uncaring and disorganised reception that we got, it is an absolute disgrace. ON A SIDE NOTE we then went to a business up the street that clearly welcomed our custom. We were greeted with smiles, made welcome, told that we would get a table in ten minutes and ended up having a great night.
Location is great. The bed was not the most comfortable. It’s a very noisy place if the people in the next room are loud. The room was a bit dim. I don’t think it was value for money but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Probably wouldn’t stay here again as food in lakes entrance isn’t great so I’d prefer somewhere with a kitchen.
We went to lake entrance because we wanted to stay in Victoria. We stayed at this motel for 5 days. The location was great. We didn't have to use our car as everything we needed was in walking distance.There was a hotel next door, a supermarket 5 minutes away places to eat for breakfast lunch and tea. The room was comfortable and clean. It coffee and tea making and a toaster. You could sit outside your room or step outside to the pool The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this motel try for yourself
Traveled to Lakes Entrance for a long weekend away and booked into The Central Hotel for 2. Staff were friendly food was unpleasant and should have never left the kitchen. Our garlic bread you could wring out the oil they took that back with many apologies but my fish was meant to be fresh flat head tails. Clearly just frozen pieces of fish that you would buy from a supermarket. They were not even real fish and dry in the centre. The other meal was a Chicken Parma which also was overcooked and sauce not pleasing to taste. So it was a definite unpleasant experience and I will not be going back there.
We just spent the weekend here. Family of 3, room was basic however it spacious and clean. much better the similar priced accommodation i have stayed in.Rooms appear to have had a minor renovations at some point in the last few years. Pool was great. Perfect location to everything. Would definitely stay again
