This old hotel has been converted to apartments. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that had a very large, comfortable lounge room that opened on to the huge verandah. It's a short walk to Argent St, a supermarket and BWS. It was good value for the 2 bedder. Breakfast makings are provided but you cook your own. Also, a full size billiard table is downstairs adjacent to the main lounge. I'd stay here again if I get back to Broken Hill.

This is an old hotel about 3-4 mins walk from the main street of Broken Hill. It is a stylish old 2-storey building that has been lovingly restored. We stayed here six nights. The room was large with a comfortable bed, desk, large chair, drawers, wardrobe, fridge and modern ensuite. There was a bit if street noise when the local pubs closed but the windows are double-glazed so shutting these and turning on the air conditioner can solve that problem if it annoys. There are plenty of communal areas, including a large verandah, and lounge room, pool room and a lovely outdoor area near the swimming pool plus a small carpark. Breakfast is self-prepared from ingredients left in the kitchen and includes cereals, bread and eggs and bacon. It was a bit annoying when one set of guests left their dirty pans for others to clean but other than that the breakfast system worked well. No other meals are provided in house but there are quite a few options nearby. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. When we had to change rooms part way through, they were very helpful and we were able to have a late check out on the last day. The bathroom had a shower (no bath) and toilet. There was OK hanging space to dry underwear but it would be a bit more difficult if you had to wash a few outer clothes. Great location for our stay.

Room tip: Rooms away from the road are quieter

We cant rate this accomodation highly enough..wonderful old building with charming period style rooms..spotless hotel with the most generous breakfast /kitchen provisions we've encountered..host was friendly and very helpful..location is great as it's around the corner from the main road and so avoid the main traffic noise..the wrap around verandah is perfect for enjoying breakfast (all provided) or relaxing with an afternoon glass of wine...perfect accomodation in this beautifully restored hotel

We spent three nights here and it was very enjoyable. Bit of a walk to the Main Street (Argent street) but nonetheless still only 5 minutes from three of the main restaraunts in Broken Hill. I liked the provision of cheese and crackers as a pre dinner snake on the veranda and the help yourself port and a novel experience making your own breakfast in a well equipped kitchen - all ingredients supplied! Only thing to be aware of is in the room that we stayed in the bathroom was attached to a mulcher and pump. It made a racket when the bathroom was used. Everything else was top of the Line. Definitely stay here again if we visit Broken Hill again.

We enjoyed a lovely large room with adjoining ensuite at the front of the property upstairs. Loved the extremely large verandah wrapping around the building. Good breakfast provisions provided... eggs, bacon, bread, cheese. Parking at the back of the property. Plus a lovely swimming pool and courtyard... but was too cold to enjoy this unfortunately!! Hotel is in walking distance to the main township. It was nice and quiet. We were well looked after. We unfortunately had a problem with the toilet in our bathroom but the owner got it fixed straight away without any inconvenience to us. She kindly gave us a box of favourites to enjoy on our trip which was lovely. Thank you!!
