The drive up to the memorial is interesting, the Memorial consists of a restraunt/shop and a display of mining equipment, boards containing the people that have been killed at the mine and the reason why. Great views of the town and a great cup of coffee

The plaques were really well done with their names and how they died and their ages. We were amazed at how these poor men died. It was well exhibited but you need to rug up as the wind goes right through the memorial

A revelation at the large number of miners who have lost their lives since mining commenced in Broken Hill many by tragic means. The stark steel monument is a striking monument to these miners who have lost their life. You walk through a tunnel like hall of rememberance with a red rose opposite each name. The memorial has views over the town founded by mining.

An artistic and appropriate tribute to the many miners who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the difficult trade they plied!
