After the bustle of Queenstown, Te Anau was like an oasis of calm, a feeling enhanced by this hotel. It gave us everything that we wanted.
Our welcome was warm and friendly and was matched by all staff we met. The room was delightful. We didn't have a lake view but overlooked the private garden area. This was perfect for us as it was quieter than being on the lake side and also more private. The room was a good size and was well appointed, as was the bathroom.
This hotel is in a perfect location, the lake is just across the road and it is a very short walk into town.
Our first night, we decided to eat at the hotel. We ate in the bar with that wonderful lake view. The quality of the food matched the view and service for the entire evening by Abhi was excellent. Our only regret was that we didn't get to eat breakfast at the hotel. This was because we had two early starts but the breakfast buffet looked very good.
