This is one of many possible walks along the road between Te Anau and Milford Sound. It is easy and short, and very enjoyable, with impressive views over a deep chasm.

Pulled into here on our way back from Milford Sound. If you have a car, make time. Wouldn't take a tour just to do this, but worth a stop. Short, maybe 10-15 min walk along a busy, smooth trail to a chasm overlook. The tropical woods are beautiful. Very busy area, as lots of people stop here coming and going from Milford, even tour busses...

This is an easy walk to and over a dramatic waterfall drop. The way the water has worn shapes into the rocks is really fascinating.

Fairly close to Milford Sound, this a very easy, quick, short walk worth doing. The chasm is deep and there is great power coming from the flowing water.

So we stopped here on okay back from Milford. On the outset they look like normal falls, but on closer observation you see circular formations in rocks around the falls. On probing more, we go to in that they were little puddles initially but the falls brought round rocks with it which created a whirlpool in those small puddles which have led to amazing circular rock formations, not seen anywhere else.
