We stayed in the three bedroom unit. This was a fantastic size for a family of six with two adults and four kids (aged 9 to 16). Was a bit retro but just suited us brilliantly with lots of space and lots of heating options provided. Very affordable accommodation.
Was within walking distance of central restaurants. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for one night before before walking the Kepler great walk. We were given unit 20 which is a studio apartment which has recently been renovated. It was perfect. It was new, modern, comfortable beds, lovely sheets, good size, modern bathroom with good shower and cooking facilities of a motel unit should we have needed it. The owners were very nice as was their black labrador Bobbie. We have travelled the world but lock down has kept us local. We are a little fussy and found Red Tussock faultless.
We had a night either side of our Milford track holiday at Red Tussock and it’s a great base for that trip. The DOC office is across the rd so handy for shuttle drop off/pick up and to get hut passes and info. A lovely <10min lakefront stroll to the shops/food outlets. Clean, friendly, convenient place to stay.
Well what can one say? This is the best place to stay in te anau.. Courtney welcomed us with open arms.. very friendly lady.. our unit was fantastic only 2 and a half years old.. nice big super king bed comfy as anything.. shower had great water pressure and everything was nice and clean.. would recommend to stay there.. we had a boat and Courtney and Paul had a parking space all sorted 4 us when we arrived.. nice private outside area in front of units too... thanks guys.. will return again... anne & darrell invercargill...
