Our stay couldn't have been more perfect. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The heat worked very well. After experiencing some other places on South Island I would say this is something to look for.
Kerri was especially kind and directed me to a local store to by a raincoat for Doubtful Sound.
The hotel is in a perfect location to see the Lake and watch the sea planes take off.

Absolutely perfect. Welcoming and helpful host on reception, easy car partking, great view across the lake, spotlessly clean room, really well equiped room and kitchen. ALso one of the most comfortable beds for me for some time. You can order breakfast to be delivered to your room the evening before. Fruit, eggs, milk, cereal and toast. We easily got dinner and breakfast out of this. We felt really at home here.

We were booked in here by our amazing travel expert Amber at PureBlackNZ. Amber has always booked into some amazing places on our 3 week trip to NZ and Radfords was a very good recommendation. We were met by the lovely Kerri and were shown to our spotless apartment. Although we didn’t use the kitchen, it was very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spotless. We had amazing views of the lake and Kerri suggested various things to do and local eateries. On leaving, I had left a brand new pair of Rodd and Gunn shoes. We were a good 1.5 hours away when Kerri notified me about the shoes, so it was too late to return to pick them. She then sorted out a courier to send then back to the UK! If you’re in Te Anau, we can thoroughly recommend Radfords, you will not be disappointed!

This is a very nice place to stay with waterfront views and within walking distance to restaurants in town. We were there three nights. Check-in was a little quirky, with the hostess asking us to wait in the car until other guests had finished their check-in (supposedly due to COVID), and to park our car away from our room so that ground-floor guests could better enjoy their views (of course, other cars ended up parking there anyway). Still, she was very friendly and offered recommendations for local restaurants. Room was comfortable and nicely outfitted. Staff didn't automatically provide daily housekeeping (which was explained) but did come in everyday to replenish tea and crack all the windows (which we would have preferred they did not as it got chilly in the room). Overall, would stay again.

I am sorry if I offended you by asking you to wait in the car, as it was chilly outside, and in respect for all our guests we only have one group at a time in our office while Covid is still around us, there is a sign on our Office door explaining this. Again my apologies for leaving the window on the latch to let some fresh air in.
All Upper Level units have parking on the far side, and only guests that are in the ground floor units park near their unit, this is to allow them the best possible views too. We had a wonderful stay at Radfords. The accommodation was perfect for our family (we were travelling with our 8 month old baby)- loved having a kitchen with the essentials, as well as spacious suit. Room was quiet but perfectly located. Staff recommended tours for us- we did the Milford sound and glow worm cave tours- both were excellent and booked easily through the hotel. Excellent recommendations given by staff for food and other things to do in the area. We forgot one of our baby items when we left, and staff kindly mailed it to us! So appreciative.
