We had a wonderful stay at Radfords. The accommodation was perfect for our family (we were travelling with our 8 month old baby)- loved having a kitchen with the essentials, as well as spacious suit. Room was quiet but perfectly located. Staff recommended tours for us- we did the Milford sound and glow worm cave tours- both were excellent and booked easily through the hotel. Excellent recommendations given by staff for food and other things to do in the area. We forgot one of our baby items when we left, and staff kindly mailed it to us! So appreciative. Radfords on the Lake combines the very best features of a motel and boutique hotel. Our room was beautifully styled, spacious, pristine, lake views - and the attention to detail was truly excellent throughout, for fussy people who notice these things. In addition, the service we received from Kerri was the best during our NZ trip - warm, friendly, helpful - she made us feel very welcome in this lovely little town, lending us insect spray and a rain jacket, sharing a recipe, providing good dinner recommendations. We would not hesitate to return to Te Anau and would not stay anywhere else.

I was very impressed with the quality of Radfords on the Lake, from the manicured gardens to the exquisitely decorated interior. The room was fresh, clean and quite luxurious. It was also bright, quiet and very difficult to fault. There is onsite dedicated parking. We enjoyed very extensive views of Lake Te Anau, and the hosts and support staff were very friendly and helpful, offering many insights in the local area and things to do.
Radfords on the Lake is directly opposite the Lake and although it is only a few minutes' walk to the town center, it is far enough to avoid the noise. Because it is so close to town, it is easy to obtain groceries, enjoy meals from the local cafes and to meet up with tour operators.
