We stayed in the campervan sites and were impressed by the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendliness of the staff. Kitchen and lounge were also super warm which was a plus we haven’t found this to be the case everywhere we’ve stayed on our road trip!
Best showers and toilet facilities, staff knowledgeable about what is going on in the area / Milford Sound too so would recommend asking them if you have any questions.

This is our fifth return visit to Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park. Always been impressed with customer service , ultra friendliness and hospitality. That's why we have always come back here.
This is our fifth return visit to Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park. Always been impressed with customer service , ultra friendliness and hospitality. That's why we have always come back here.
We came with 9 of us on one trip. Five the last trip and at least of 3 of the 5 visits we stayed at the Marakura units. Stunning lake views frm the upstairs units. Wow Def wheel chair accessible facilities
Surprised on this visit that booking in did not notify new post covid practise of popping a yes please clean the room tag on the door. Found it buried under stuff on one if the tables when we got bck to rooms afta our day out and saw that we had no fresh towels tea towels or face cloths and no clean rm Anyway no worries as we rang reception about collecting some fresh supplies
This time we were booked and pd for 6. Asked Catherine for more than one face cloth and were told it's a policy of one face cloth per room. Pointing out there were six of us booked she replied by saying. Well u r all family aren't u. U have to share that. We only give one per room and thats standard
Shocking given Covid precautions practisef in most places. Shocking because in all the previous visits that was not the case. Te Anau was extremely quiet and this staff member reminded us there were only 2 staff working and to clean. .I wonder if the omission to mention the room tag was on purpose
The place looked pretty empty and we looked like we were the only ones here and compared to otha visits its empty and very quiet
Catherine our receptionist who says she's traveled the world. What she spouts is standard worldwide. Obviously never traveled with family. We did over 14 hotels in Europe on our last visit and we were ALWAYS provided towels and fc to the number of family and friends booked on that stay
I suspect Catherine never visited here herself because the staff here on every otha visit were stunning with personality plus. They went out of their way to be helpful and our rooms were always cleaned and they were lovely That kind and service extraordinaire attitude ensured we never bothered to look to stay elsewhere on our way to Milford and Doutful Sounds.
Soo don't 4get Room Tag on door.
Make sure u indicate towel and face cloth supplies are dropped off to ur room daily - in case office closed when u get bck
Bring ur own face cloths

Or we could req better staff training

What a great camp. An easy walk along lakefront to town. Perfect view of the Lake from our campsite. Good cooking facilities, showers no charge. Tour operators all picked us up from camp which was very convenient.
We did a 2wk South Island trip and this campground was one of my favorites. The downside was that it was pretty busy (I can imagine it’s busier with tourists in the country), but I feel as though there was enough of the amenities to go around.
We set up our tent right next to the playground. It was perfect for my kids and there weren’t any roads they needed to cross to get to it. We were also right next to the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchens were great!! Plenty of amenities inside! BBQs outside. Wash stations outside. The lounge area was nice and big. High chair available. Could use another high chair though. Bathrooms were great! Nice and clean feeling. Showers were great! They have a family bathroom available which I would have loved to use, but you have to check a key out with reception and It was too late in the evening.
I do appreciate their “no noise after 10pm” policy. We came close to having to call security on some teens running around and being super loud by our tent well after 10pm, but I was able to manage it myself.
Great location to Milford Sound! I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone!
We spent two nights at the Te Anau Lakeview Holiday Park and were pleased with our stay. Located just a few minutes from the town centre, and walking distance to the lake, it was in a great location. The holiday park itself is huge, lots of camping spots and facility blocks dotted throughout. We were able to get picked up for our Milford Sound tour from the holiday park which was very handy. Lovely park grounds, would stay here again next time we’re visiting Te Anau.
Only stayed the one night while visiting Milford sound, but would have liked to have spent more time enjoying The Anau. The family bathroom cabin was well-equipped, clean, had comfortable beds, and modern decor. Check in staff were helpful and it's in the perfect position to walk across to the lake or into The Anau.
