Aden Motel is a quiet, very spacious and comfortable place to stay located close to the Lake. It had all the amenities we required including a very comfortable bed and a functional well equipped kitchen. Irene, the Manager, was extremely helpful especially in recommendations for travelling to and from Milford Sound. Irene organised the trip for us which was absolutely superb and also gave us ideas on good places to eat in the area including the whereabouts of the local supermarket. I highly recommend - we would definitely book again at Aden Motel.

2 Mins walk to the lake but in a quiet street so little noise that way you can hear the birds in the morning its wonderful.
As the manager I know to give local knowledge to all my guests that way I am sure they have had the best stay possible with us and we are available for information any time.
We would really like to see you back but you have a wee way to travel but you just never know.

Older style motel but really very pleasantly renovated . So comfortable and well equipped with some nice extras. All set in very nice gardens and quiet with very friendly hosts. Great value and we will be back.

Our family of 4 including a 4 Yr old and 7 year old had a wonderful stay at Aden Motel. The team were friendly and helpful, unit was tidy and clean and nicely refurbished. Play equipment for the kids was an awesome bonus to have on site. We would definately return.
Families are what the motel is all about and making memories for children so that when they are adults they will return with great memories to share with their children.
I must say the playground is great and we are about to extend it to have an adult size swing and seesaw for the kids so when you return it will be even more fun

Great little traditional kiwi motel. Very comfortable bed, clean and full facilities an easy walk to town. The owners were friendly and offered us a choice of rooms - both of which were nice.
Would reccomend as this motel is better than many that cost a lot more.

Choice of rooms doesn't always happen but its great if we do get the chance to do this as each of our rooms has it own personality with our Fiordland/NZ feel.
Walking to town is about 10 mins or 1km walk into the heart of town with Supermarket, Restaurants, shops etc
Value for money is due to the town deciding to bring people here to stay and hopefully stay longer was to reduce room rates and it worked but its tough when we as Motel owner pay more in a neighbouring town for accommodation that what we are charging our guests for the same type of rooms.

Such a quiet but convenient motel. The lake walk access is across the road, a few seconds and you are at the lake, turn left for DOC and the bird sanctuary (approx 10 min walk) or right to get to the town centre. Clean, comfortable room with a lovely bed, heat pump, kitchen facilities-everything you could need. Free wifi. Outside areas to enjoy the peace, bbq,birdlife and a wee garden to pick some herbs or vege for your dinner. Trampoline and swing for the children.
The staff were lovely, going out of their way to make my trip comfortable and easy.
Obvious attempts to be as sustainable as possible,awesome to see.
100% reccomend this motel, can't wait to go back.
Well thank you for an outstanding review that covers so much about the Motel and what it offers including the playground, BBQ area and our lovely gardens that bring in the bird life you get to sit and listen too because it is so quiet and peaceful to stay.
Heat pumps / AirCon is not yet available in all our apartments but we are working on it as a more economical way to heat and cool the rooms but we will keep moving forward with them as budget allows same for the room decorating too is always ongoing.
If you leave here with great memories of you stay that is all we ask
We do hope you will return to see us again one day
