Stayed in Te Anau for four nights and ate here three times. Nice atmosphere; lovely, welcoming staff; excellent food and a great price! Shame the Guinness was in tins not on tap but at least they had it!!
Highly recommend it for people of all ages, including families with children.More

Had lunch at Bailez just now with great food and friendly staff. You get to meet the manager, the assistant manager,and the restaurant manager while you are dining. Where else would that happen. Waitress Laura was super friendly and provided great service to our table.

Booked in today. Fantastic friendly receptionist, Joyce, booked us in, booked us a trip to Milford Sounds. Came into Baileys restaurant and bar for pre dinner drinks and meal. Absolutely brilliant staff and fantastic food. Best we have had in a week and a half of travel and brilliant value for money
We have stayed for 4 nights in a twin room with views over the rear carpark and in the distance the Murchison Mountains.
Well appointed room, excellent bathroom - very clean with quality bath linen.

Stayed here for four nights while we did some of the great walks in the region. All staff were friendly and efficient. Because we were picked up one morning before breakfast started, they made breakfast packs up for us which were really generous. The breakfast on the first day was buffet but had to be changed to table service because of a change in covid lockdown levels. They handled this well. This is a great location for eating out as lots of venues to choose from in the area. There onsite Bailliez restaurant also had good food but we didn't eat there. Plenty of onsite parking. Also have a self service laundry which proved handy for some.
We spent two nights at the hotel and paid for an upgrade to a room which had the added advantage of a separate shower and a spa bath. The hotel staff advised us that the room would be hot at night and sure enough it was with no air con and not enough ventilation through the windows. That aside the room was of good size. Parking at the hotel was good and staff were charming. A sensible breakfast was served with good hot food options. Because of COVID the hotel was fairly quiet, as indeed was the town, but it was very central for accessing everything.Could do with a little life and the long empty corridors reminded one of the Jack Nicholson Film "The Shining" Very good value for what we paid.
