Breathtaking views. Our trip was after the rain and there were a lot of waterfalls. We really enjoyed and recommend this experience.

Milford Sound was high on my to do list when I visited New Zealand. I drove here from Queenstown, the drive was just about 4 hours. The drive is worth it, because it's beautiful. I booked Milford Sound tickets online. I was not a fan of the parking. It was limited and expensive, as if visiting Milford Sound wasn't already expensive. But the boat tour around the sound was very nice, I saw seals lounging on rocks, and just enjoyed the natural beauty. I do highly recommend a boat tour to see more of the sound.

We recently had a very disappointing experience with Stellar Parking. Despite following all the rules and making every effort to comply with their parking regulations, we were issued a parking fine due to a malfunctioning parking machine.

When we parked, the machine closest to our spot was not working. We provided video evidence of this issue, but our appeal was declined without a valid reason. The customer service representative did not address our concerns adequately and seemed to dismiss our situation entirely.

We complied with all the terms and conditions to the best of our ability, including paying the appropriate amount of $5 per hour after 3 PM. Although we paid after asking at the boat tour building and returning to a functioning machine, we were told it was too late. Penalizing customers for issues caused by their own equipment is not acceptable.

Stellar Parking claims on their website that they are known for the fair and reasonable way they operate, which keeps user queries and complaints to a minimum and protects their clients’ reputations. However, our experience shows that this is not true. They simply ignore customers' claims due to their monopoly and refuse to review any claims. The customer service representative also mentioned that payments could be made online, but the cell service in Milford Sound is quite poor, making this option unreliable.

Milford Sound is a fantastic destination, but the parking situation with Stellar Parking makes the whole experience not worth it. We strongly urge Stellar Parking to reconsider their approach to customer service and to address equipment failures more effectively. Until then, we cannot recommend their services.

We took a day trip with Pure Milford, starting at 8.30am in Te Anau and set off for a memorable day. Sebastian was our driver who was very informative and we made plenty of stops along the way such as Mirror Lake til we reached our cruise starting point. The cruise included lunch (a pie, crisps, apple, museli bar, hot drink) and for an hour and a half we were treated to the beauty of Milford Sound. We did have a car hired but opted to do a day trip so we could fully experience the day and have the knowledge of the area shared through our tour operator. The roads are not for the nervous driver and a one way tunnel is the only access to Milford Sound.

Milford Sound is magnifico! The towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and misty fjords took my breath away. The boat ride through the calm waters was like a dream—so peaceful, so stunning. Madre mia, nature here feels so pure and untouched. Bellissimo!
