What a warm welcome and a very pleasant stay we had here, all credits for Doug and Linda. The private rooms we hade were very comfortable, we could even stay in the living room chatting with D&L or just to sit down, have a glas of wine and enjoy the views. The views are absolutely amazing and breakfast is a perfect start of the day. Location is just outside of the city center and when booked a trip to Doubtful Sound we were picked up in front of our B&B. Perfect. It was a little hard to say goodbye, we already miss the conversations at breakfast. Thanks so much Doug and Linda.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was more like staying with friends than with strangers. Thanks to their warm welcome and their hospitality. House is lovely and the site spectacular. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit salad and Banana Muffins.
We enjoyed talking with Linda and Doug. And we can only recommend this B&B and would like to come back.

Room tip: Both rooms are lovely.

As many have stated on TA, Doug and Linda are absolutely fabulous. We let them know we were coming in very late and they were absolutely gracious about it. The moment we walked in they offered us hot drinks, cookies and some great conversation. Their house and property were pristine and gorgeous. If it's possible even better than the pictures. The breakfasts are so beautifully laid out and you get such lovely fresh cut fruit and yogurt. The washroom/shower is probably one of the nicest I've seen and it definitely feels like you are pampering yourself. The bed is incredibly comfortable also. Most importantly Doug and Linda are great hosts. You really get the sense they are genuinely excited to meet each and every new guest and to listen to everyone's stories. We had a wonderful time and I am sure you will too!

Doug and Linda are retired farmers and keen horse riders, and Doug continues to apply his skills on the neighbouring 100 acre property. In a sense this is a combination of homestay and farmstay, and they made us feel so very much at home. This was a homestay more than a B&B and we were so welcome in their home, spending time with them in their lounge room and watching my husband’s favourite AFL team on TV with them. They knew all the local restaurants and places to go: sent us on a great Milford Sound trip and booked us into golf. It helped us to fall in love with Te Anau.

Room tip: There is a queen room, and a twin single room with a view of the lake. Both are lovely.

The room was very comfortable with fantastic views. The hosts were so friendly and managed to sort out our own problems very efficiently. They gave us great advice on eating and travelling. They knew the road to Milford Sound was blocked (rock fall), and let us know when it reopened. They arranged an idyllic boat trip for us there. We couldn't have asked for more. Linda's muffins were amazing. If you want somewhere to stay with a personal touch, don't think about it, just book it.

Thank you very much. At the risk of being repetitious it is always easy to host nice guests as they make our job enjoyable. We hope you enjoyed the rest of the South Island
