This is a gorgeous lake surrounded by bush-clad mountains. There are cycling and walking trails around the shore, boat trips, kayaking, scenic flights, so many ways to enjoy this serene and beautiful location. With the town having all the conveniences and good accommodation, this is an underrated destination.

With a back drop of Fiordland National Park and stunning mountains all around this is truely a beautiful part of the world. Grab a water taxi to checkout one of the secluded beaches. Jump on a boat and retake a cruise or just have a walk or picnic beside it.
Maybe a refreshing dip or a kayak whatever you choose you can’t go wrong.

The boat cruise up beautiful lake Te Anau is followed by a great visit to the guided trip into the caves and the chase to see so many glow works. Really worth the trip and the money.
