what a welcome break from humanity and problems, back to nature in its awesome beauty. Do the Real Journeys trip to Doubtful sound overnight cruise if you can, to see the Dolphins!

Loved our time here. Extended our stay by 2 nights at the expense of shortening Queenstown. If you are after a quiet, peaceful place, this is the place to be. Also a great choice of cafes and restaurants.

Almost 100 KM shot of Milford Sound is this Lake on the Western side of the Highway. A scenic place and most Tourist stop here to enjoy the view. Very peaceful place and one can sit here for hours to cherish the natura and its beauty.

Beautiful scenery around the lake. Only few visitors, very peaceful, serene and relaxing. Mystical when Foggy in the morning. Relaxing to walk around the shore of the lake. The small town centre ia only a few minutes walk away from the lake.

Please take the time to see this lake. It’s a wonderful place to stop while trekking or driving to Milford Sound. Plenty of birds to see and the water is crystal clear. There are nice walk paths for all types.
