What an experience! We enjoyed every minute of it. Lee was a great guide who took care of us from pick up, guiding us on our hike, and showing us the beautiful scenery & local flora along the way. Helicopter ride was also superb. Would highly recommend!

My family and I had an outstanding heli picnic trip. We actually had no idea how awesome it would be. There were the most amazing views we've ever seen...breathtaking and memorable. Our guide/pilot Craig, was a very friendly professional with a depth of experience of the area. All top notch with a very friendly touch. Doesn't matter if you're a lord of the rings nerd (I am), this is a place of exceptional beauty with so many amazing waterfalls and surreal scenery it will blow your mind. A trip my family will remember forever. I can't recommend highly enough.

Having shopped around to find a special Xmas experience for my family, the cost of flying into the amazing HOBBIT location of Earnslaw Burn seemed prohibitive - but finally I found Alpine Adventures!! Lee, the owner was super-obliging, and he organised for our little family to have one of the most memorable experiences we ave shared in NZ. The Earnslaw Burn boasts dozens of waterfalls melting off the hanging Earnslaw glacier.. Our lovely pilot swooped us around over the stunning landscape, and we gently touched down in the glorious location, where we wondered, snapped countless photos and then we were treated to a delicious anti-pasto luncheon spread, with optional bubbly. The weather was glorious, and it was an experience we will never forget. We would highly recommend Lee's service and the terrifically friendly and efficient folks at Heli-works, who have exclusive rights to fly into the Earnslaw Burn site. Do yourself a favour - save and then DO THIS!!

We were so happy that we chose Alpine Adventures for our private tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound. We are a family of 4 with 2 young kids and couldn't imagine spending over 8 hours driving back and forth on a tour bus. It was relaxing and comfortable enjoying the journey in a luxury Land Rover Discovery and having your own personal informative guide, Emma. Emma picked us up at 7.30am from our hotel and drove to Milford Sound with scenic stops along the way and of course to stretch your legs. Everywhere we stopped we avoided the tour buses and crowds which is a bonus. Emma also arranged a plentiful delicious picnic lunch for the cruise. Milford Sound was absolutely stunning with those spectacular mountains and waterfalls, it is definitely a ‘must do’ when visiting the South Island. We managed to get close to waterfalls (and get drenched) and see New Zealand fur seals lazily lying on the rocks and watch a pod of dolphins swim by. On the drive back to Queenstown we went on a short walk to see the Chasm Waterfall which is spectacular and terrifying at the same time. Next time we’re in Queenstown we’ll definitely contact Alpine Adventures to arrange another amazing tour. Thank you Emma for making our Milford Sound tour a memorable experience!

I spent three days in Queenstown with Lee. He was very knowledgeable. He was very flexible with the schedule. Could schedule things on fly move them up if we finished an activity early. He also have connections. He definitely embodies all the essences a good tour guide needs. Not a single dull moment. He was literally able to take me to jump off a bridge, cliff and a plane within three days time and so much more.
