We have stayed at the Sofitel QT several times. You simply can't beat the location or the facilities. However, the big difference here are their staff. From the time we started the booking - to the time we walked out the door at the end - their team looked after us like family. I cannot speak highly enough of several of these people. Enjoyed everything about this hotel. Location, staff, breakfast, dinner, room - everything. We had a couple of dinners in the hotel & the food was truly excellent. It's a very well run hotel & all staff are friendly and professional. We would happily stay again.

The hotel is centrally located in the city center. The room is standard Sofitel quality. The staff are genuinely mice.
Our room was described as Luxury Room with a view of Remarkables Mountain with a juliet balcony for $ 759. + $50 valet.
We posted the actual view so anyone can judge it.
Upon complained, we got standard answer: "you pay on what we describe. You can see.the mountan.."
10% discount was offered (which was rather insulting). Or we could get a full cancelation. 🙄
Again, the hotel is a good choice for central location, but buyer beware.

I changed this hotel at last minute, and it proved to be a wise decision. You literally cannot get a better location in Queenstown. A side from the location, the hotel is charming and has that boutique feel.
We were upgraded to a room with a balcony. The bar was one of the nicest hotel bars I have had the pleasure of visiting.
The breakfast was great and was an la carte menu, with attentive service.
Although we only stayed for one night, I would say this is one of my favourite hotels.

Wonderful hotel with lovely staff right in the heart of a beautiful city surrounded by mountains
In particular, would love to give a shout out to Priyadeep Panwar, the Assistant Manager, and Ronen, the valet/concierge taking care of our car everyday. Both were super helpful to us and always have a smile on them, making us always feel so welcome at the Sofitel
