Stacks pub is part of the Hilton hotel. Food is good with large portions. Drinks menu is good but they don't do cocktails however they do shots/tap beers as well as bottled beers.

Maybe some live music or gaming machines would be good. Staff are friendly but can be hard to get attention of sometimes.

Overall pub is great but needs something to liven it up due to the distance from town.

We went to Stacks 3 out of the 5 nights we stayed at Hilton and every time the food was delicious. We got the Weekend Kiwi Roast special which consisted of pork and gravy, peas, roasted yams and potatoes and cauliflower in a cheese sauce. It was an excellent meal and for $29 the portions was more than generous. On the other nights we had the fish and chips which was good and the BBQ pork ribs which was delicious. The staff are also very friendly!

I ate here with my brother for an early evening meal on a warm day. The atmosphere was all cricket and tennis. Many beers to choose. I had the Cesar Salad and he had Fish & Chips. He thought his meal was good with very light breading on Hoki fish. My Cesar was standard but the egg on it seemed to be briefly fried and placed on top. Initially I thought it was a piece of my brother’s fish. Not so, as this was a very different and tasty topping for my dish. If I were a beer drinker and avid sports fan, this would be my choice.

Stacks Pub (more like a restaurant than a pub) is located in the Hilton village at Kelvin Heights, an easy 10min drive towards Remarkables. We found a car park easily in the undercover parking off the main road.

The food was great - big serves, a good range, very fresh and priced similarly, if not a little less, to similar restaurants in town. The kids menu had a good variety and swapped out chips for steamed veggies (a nice change or kids eat a lot of fish and chips during holidays!) and for $15 included two courses (a little on the pricey side compared to town).

The pub had a great atmosphere - the only criticism was the service was a little slow. It started off fine and as more people came and more staff came onboard, you had to wave people down for service.

It is worth a drive around the peninsula for something different!

Thanks for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed the food and atmosphere - it has certainly been very busy recently so I apologise for the service being a little slower than we intend. We hope to see you again in the future.
