We had arrived in Queenstown a couple weeks earlier and travelled much of the middle and south of the South Island.
As we went along looking for appropriate and best priced souvenir or possum-merino knitted product.
We bought some t shirts and my wife spent a bit of money on a branded possum-merino shawl at a clothing speciality shop.
DF Souvenirs had exactly what we bought, 30% cheaper in the T-shirts and 10% less for the shawl.
We noticed this shop had so many other items much cheaper than we had seen elsewhere in our two week stay.
Next visit I will only come to the one shop. It has proven to offer you the best value for money.
DF Souvenirs is just down from Starbucks.
Have read many reviews on this shop. Went there in late November during our 2 night stay at Queenstown. Easy to find since it was on the main shopping area in town.
Quite a crowd where we there at 8pm. Lots of options, shirts, keychains, fridge magnets, softtoys, jackets, mugs and many more. You can find almost everything here. Compared the prices against other souvenir shops in Te Anau, Christchurch and Auckland, and it was cheapest here. Very satisfied with the options available.
The only bad point was the service. We bought quite a lot of items, nearly NZD300, no smile or even a thank you from the cashier. It was like being with a robot with no emotions.
They had everything for souvenirs to bring home. I believe that this has the best deals for souvenir in Queenstown. From lanolin, tshirts, magnets, you name it, they have it.
My wife and myself took our 3 years daughter to thia shop when we arrived at Quuenstown to shop for a wool jumper. While we entering the shop, my faughter got facinated by the soft toys and grab one wantingbus to buy for her. The shop assistant called Di grabbed from her hands and shout at her "don't touch". My daughter starting crying and was scarred. I gone balistic and told her off and asked for the manager. Manager not here or just don't care. Do you really want to give your business to these people? Go some where else and in fact we bought wool jukper and the same toy from another shop.
After looking at all the souvenir shops in Queenstown, I found that this shop had the best range of souvenirs & the price was comparable to all the others.
DF offerred wide range of souvenirs with lower price by $3-$5 difference compare to other souvenir shops. They have items like keychain to always on sales for $29.90 reversable Kiwi Jacket and also manuka honey products! Price starting from $4.
